FH&C advises Horse & Hound
Recently we have been asked by Horse & Hound to offer advice on an article regarding 'Riders relocating abroad and to France'
Obviously we were more than pleased to help out, especially as they commented that they had come across our site during research and found it to be excellent and informative. Proof that our site really does work effectively.
Its out this week and appears on Page 30 in the 18th March Edition
Here's what they had to say -
Editor of www.frenchhorseandcountry.com - which offers advice for riders planning to more to France - suggests looking for work in international yards as French employment laws are rigid.
"France does not recognise overseas qualifications so you stand a better chance if you are willing to train" she says. Find out the details of the competition
societies in advance - each country has its own regulations.
"France is very strict with regard to overseas competitors" says the Editor.
"Horses must be eligible and registered and riders must hold appropriate licences
"The FFE [French Equestrian Federation] and Haras Nationaux must be contacted."
We have much more information but space is of a premium with printed magazines so we very much appreciate the credit from H&H.

SONJA (nl), also known as Tottie, is a white welsh mountain pony mare
about 11.2hh born in 1989. Her sire number is 50368926 R.
She has a very distinctive hard lump on her shoulder, slightly back from the point of shoulder that happened in a driving accident before she came to me.
There are photos of her on my website;
http://www.haras-de-garem.weebly.com.
I just want to know that she is ok. She was loaned to a lady in Mouhet (just off A20 north of La Souterraine) in January 08, and I have just learnt that the loanee returned to the UK a year ago and the pony has disappeared.
I have her passport and other documentation here.
Thanks for your help.
