| WESTSIDE QUIXOTE - Training a Quarter Horse |
Our Western correspondent known to us as 'Hollywood Jac' is the proud owner of 'Westie'.
Its always a learning curve producing a young horse. The rewards are wonderful but these go hand in hand with the responsibility of doing the right thing at the right time and keeping continuity and progress to ensure a youngster is given the correct education to mature and fulfill his potential.
What do you do when you take on a youngster and are not a 'professional,' but you are a conscientious pleasure rider with knowledge and respect for your equine?
Here 'HJ' shares her experiences with us and provides a valuable insight into the options and possibilities. As we follow them both on their journey, we encounter specialists and professionals and appreciate the dedication given to ensure one Quarter horse is given the best possible start from a sensible responsible owner.
